Hi, I’m Jacqui!

I’m the maker behind J. Valentine Knits, where I create cozy, colorful, hand-knit accessories for people who appreciate something a little different. I grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey, and my husband and I raised our four kids here in Northfield. This community has always been home, and I love being able to share my handmade pieces with the people who make it so special.

I’ve been knitting for over a decade (crocheting even longer), and what started as a creative outlet has grown into a small business that I absolutely love. I specialize in luxurious, hand-knit merino wool hats made with beautiful, thoughtfully sourced yarns. I believe in slow fashion, quality materials, and making things with intention. Every hat is made by hand, one stitch at a time, with the hope that it’ll be worn and loved for years to come. When I’m not knitting hats, you can usually find me spinning yarn, out for a walk, starting another hobby I probably don’t need, or sneaking in a nap.
